Joseph Armand Bombardier essay: Conclusion

Joseph Armand Bombardier is a great person for changing Canada's heritage and for creating a new sport. Joseph Armand Bombardier created the first snowmobile and we have a new sport today
because of him, When he was younger he was always interested in creating things, Then he got older and actually built a machinethat can drive through the surface of the snow. If Joseph did not make the snowmobile we would not have any today.

Joseph Armand Bombardier essay: Body

Joseph Armand Bombardier was born on April 16 1907. Joseph was born in Valcourt, Quebec where he lived in a house full of farmers and small shopkeepers.
Joseph created his first snowmobile prototype when he was 15. His first was a small surface skimming contraption with a propeller. He started making the snowmobile during the snowy winter. He wanted to make a vehicle that could drive on the surface of the snow.  He wanted to make this because before World War II and much of the 1940s  the Quebec government did not plough the roads. He made the snowmobile by owning his own garage, selling gasoline, and fixing cars in 1926. On August 7 1929 he married Yvonne Labrecque with whom he had six children with.

Joseph started making the b-7 B stands for Bombardier and the 7 is how much passengers can fit in the snowmobile. The b12 was made in 1949 which was the new and improved snowmobile that Joseph made, The B-12 can go about 30 miles per hour
the b-12 was designed after the war, and then the C-18 snowmobile was made in the
1970s after joseph had died in February 18 1964 at the age of 56. In 1940 the army became interested in his B-7 snowmobile which was capable of taking troops over ice, sand, and swamps, he made hundreds of them but did not receive any credit as the inventor, In 1942 he created the B-12 the newly designed snowmobile it was furnished with suspension on each axle, That year he incorporated himself and founded Auto- Neige Bombardier inc.

In 1948 Joseph decided to make all terrain vehicles for the Exploration Industries.
In the 1950s he wanted to make and individual vehicle called the Snow-Dog
better known as Ski-Doo, Because of the mistake in the documentation given
to the distributors. With that invention solved the problem of individual transportation
on snow in remote areas, He has created a new industry, And a new sport that is still
used today.
